Earlier this year, we received great news that our 1st loan was modified. We didn't know that we would still be trying to seal the deal almost a year later because of Ocwen's irresponsibility. The notary made an error on our first set of final modification documents, so we decided not to send it but to request another set. We didn't want anything to mess up our chances of finalizing the modification. An Ocwen representative told me sure...we'll have it to you in 5-7 business days. Well 5-7 business days passed, 7-10 business days passed, and so on and so on. NO PAPERS. We received the papers more than a month later. I called back several times to explain that we had not yet received the papers. They could not explain why. When we finally did receive the papers, we sent them out signed and properly notarized. We scheduled an appointment with a relationship manager. This is another thing I dislike about this company...you have to wait too long just to resolve issues or receive updates about your account:-(.

Anyway, I spoke to the relationship manager weeks later, only to find out that the modification had been rejected because of paperwork they needed and never asked for! They told me that if I sent in this paperwork that they would take a second look. This was on August 13, 2012. We started this entire process in On November 30, 2011. The relationship manager said the papers would arrive in 5-7 business days. Five to seven business days passed, 7-10 business days passed, 10-14 business days passed, and 14-21 business days passed. I received the paper work that was supposedly sent out on August 13th towards the end of the first week of September. We filled out the paper work, had it properly notarized AGAIN and send it to the address specified on the modification paperwork. We sent it priority, certified mail just to make sure it would not be lost and that someone at OCWEN would have to sign for it.

Well, someone at OCWEN did sign for it. Someone by the name of E. Hill showed up on the confirmation. Yet and still as of yesterday, they have noted the account stating that we still need to send in the final modification and the additional paperwork they requested on August 13th. The USPS provided us with a confirmation number which I gave to OCWEN customer service representatives and supervisors. Why is it still showing up missing?

OCWEN will not accept our mortgage payment which we have been paying on time in full since our modification was rejected. They said they rejected the modification because we sent the final modification in because we did not send it by September 10, 2012. How could we send it in by September 10th if we did not receive until 1 or 2 days before that day AND if this date was never communicated to us by our relationship manager, any customer service representative or even on the final documentation itself? How? They also rejected the modification because of the missing paperwork. How is the paperwork missing when someone at OCWEN signed for it on September 17, 2012 at 10:00 and I have the confirmation number to prove and TWO OCWEN representatives and one OCWEN supervisor went on to the USPS website to verify the information and provided them.

They told me they would find out what happened to the package because USPS website and confirmation does show that someone at OCWEN did sign for the package and that it was sent to the right address. I have called in two to three times after this conversation to be disconnected by OCWEN representatives who could not tell me why the screen still says that I need to send in the paperwork that I already sent it and was signed for by an OCWEN representative. I am very displeased with this company, the inaccurate information given to me by multiple OCWEN customer service representatives, their untimeliness with shipping of important paperwork and their inadequate communication skills. I have made several complaints but have not received a resolution. I really hope OCWEN does the right thing and lives up to their motto "Helping Homeowners is what we do." I do not feel helped at all...not at all.

Ocwen will do the right thing: For themselves, which is to bleed you dry, then take your house when their ain't no more to bleed out of you.

Best just give em' the house.

I have the same situation with OCWEN. They say I did not send them the documents on time when I have proof I sent them on time and the post office card signed by the same E.

Hill.

I had sent documents to 3 different departments and they tell me they do not have the documents and again I sent them return receipt and certified mail. Horrible service.
